A driver is arrested on DUI charges after an Orlando crash.

ORLANDO, Fla. - A driver was arrested early Friday after fleeing a DUI enforcement deputy and crashing into another car, according to deputies.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said DeMario Mormon was weaving in and out of traffic on East Colonial drive near Magnolia Drive just after 2:30 a.m.

A deputy attempted to make a traffic stop once he noticed the erratic driving, but the driver fled westbound at at high rate of speed, according to deputies.

The sheriff's office said the deputy did not pursue the fleeing vehicle.  Seconds later Mormon T-boned another car after running a red light at Garland Avenue, according to deputies.

Mormon was arrested shortly after the crash, he faces charges of DUI, fleeing and eluding, and possession of a concealed weapon.

There were no injuries reported in the accident.
