ORLANDO, Fla. – An electrical fire Tuesday night forced an evacuation of The Plaza in downtown Orlando.

Crews were called to the building on Orange Avenue after several floors began filling up with smoke.

The fire was eventually tracked to one of the building's elevators.  Building management sent out a note to residents, saying a panel in the elevator caught fire but was quickly put out.

Part of Orange Avenue was briefly shut down as crews worked to find the fire and clear the smoke from the building.

No one was injured.
