Fatal accident shuts down part of Interstate 4

Wrong-way driver to blame

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police shut down a stretch of Interstate 4 due to a deadly accident early Saturday morning.

Police said the accident involved five cars in the westbound lanes at Princeton Avenue.

Police said the accident killed two people and was the result of a wrong-way driver.

Westbound lanes of I-4 were shut down starting at Kennedy Boulevard and continuing to Princeton Boulevard.

Orlando police were finally able to open I-4 just before noon, but traffic remained snarled.
