ORLANDO, Fla. - Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a young girl hit by an Orlando Utilities Commission truck died nine days after the crash.

Troopers say 10-year-old Marisol Gonzalez of Orlando passed away at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

FHP says the OUC truck was traveling eastbound on Pershing Avenue on December 2 when the driver tried to turn left onto Wild Horse Road. Witnesses say the OUC truck turned into the path of a van traveling westbound on Pershing Avenue.

When the van hit the OUC truck, witnesses say the OUC truck was thrown into Gonzalez and a friend, who were walking on the sidewalk.

Troopers say the crash is still under investigation and they haven't determined if anyone will be charged in Gonzalez's death.
