Local 6 teams up with One Blood Inc. for blood drive

By Tara Evans - Executive Producer

ORLANDO, Fla. - WKMG Local 6 and One Blood Inc. (formerly Florida's Blood Centers) are teaming up for an all-day blood drive and you can meet your favorite anchors and reporters!

The blood drive is taking place in Studio B at the WKMG Local 6 station on Wednesday. The address of the station is 4466 North John Young Parkway in Orlando, which is right off Lee Road, and just past the Edgewater Drive.

Come down between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. You'll see all your favorite news anchors and reporters, all for a good cause.

There are three different ways you can donate: you can donate whole blood, which takes about seven to ten minutes, you can donate red blood cells which takes about 20-25 minutes, or donate platelets which takes about two hours.

One Blood is reporting a shortage of O-negative blood right now--so no matter what blood type you have, come down and donate, but especially if you have O-negative blood.

We here at Local 6 are looking forward to having you join us while we give back to our community!
