Peabody ducks set to retire on Monday

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Peabody Orlando's Duckmaster Donald Tompkins lead the "March of the Peabody Ducks" for the final time as the hotel transitions to Hyatt Regency Orlando.

The March of the Peabody ducks, which lasts less than a minute, has been a tradition since 1986.

Guests were invited to visit The Peabody Memphis where the tradition, celebrating its 80th anniversary, will continue after the Orlando hotel's sale closes on Oct. 1.

Hyatt recently purchased the Peabody, changing hands and changing a cherished tradition.

The walk happen at 5 p.m. at  Mallard Tower/Atrium Fountain located at 9801 International Drive.
