ORLANDO, Fla. - Authorities say a 20-year-old inmate fled the state after being granted furlough from custody to attend his grandfather's funeral.

T'rez Campbell  was granted furlough from custody to attend his grandfather's funeral in Daytona Beach until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and didn't return to Volusia County jail, officials said.

When he failed to return at 7:51 p.m., Volusia County Branch Jail contacted Campbell's sister, Tia Campbell and she said he had not been seen since 5:30 p.m. Campbell was last seen at 744 Westmoreland Dr. in Orlando.

Campbell is possibly going to an unknown location in Georgia for the burial of his grandfather, authorities say. The family would not say the location of the service.

Campbell was incarcerated for trafficking in narcotics, resisting an officer, and leaving the scene of a crash.
