Police release surveillance images of suspect

PALM BAY, Fla. – Palm Bay police released surveillance pictures from a Subway restaurant that was held up by a gunman on Tuesday.

Detectives tell Local 6 the suspect walked into the Subway at 3450 Bayside Lakes Blvd. at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The man threatened a Subway worker with a handgun and demanded cash from the register.

The worker handed over an unknown amount of money to the robber. The suspect ran away without hurting anyone inside the restaurant.

Officers set up a perimeter in the area and sent out a K-9 but they were unable to find the robber.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s who is about five feet five inches tall. He was wearing an orange shirt and brown hat and was seen carrying a gray Walmart plastic bag.
