DELAND, Fla. - DeLand police say they caught a man who tried to steal steaks from a grocery store for the second time in as many months.

Terrence Logan, 46, targeted the Winn Dixie on West New York Avenue in the latest crime, according to the police report.

Officers say Logan tried to leave the store just after 7 a.m. Monday carrying a bag filled with more than $200 worth of steaks. A store manager saw Logan and yelled at him as he left the store.

According to the police report, Logan dropped the steaks as he ran away. Officers set up a perimeter and searched the area, eventually finding Logan at a nearby apartment complex.

Logan was previously arrested in May for allegedly attempting to steal nearly $100 worth of steaks from the DeLand Walmart.

Logan was booked into Volusia County jail and charged with retail theft. His bond was set at $1,000.
