WINTER PARK, Fla. - There was busy traffic during lunchtime around a popular Winter Park shopping plaza Wednesday.

The burger chain Shake Shack opened in Winter Park's Lakeside plaza located on U.S. Highway 17-92.

The New York-based eatery serves burgers, fries, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer and wine.

Dozens of people crowded into the restaurant around 11 a.m., many of them have been looking forward to the grand opening for weeks.

"I'm a huge Shake Shack fan, followed them for years," said Jung Lee, who was first in line.  "Excited that we finally have one here in Orlando."

It is not the first location in Florida, but it's the first in Central Florida. The three other Florida locations are in Boca Raton, Coral Gables and South Beach.

Shake Shack isn't the only business to recently open in the shopping plaza. Central Florida's first Trader Joe's opened in June.  All 150 parking spaces were filled before the grocery store opened its doors.

Today's opening presented some parking challenges, but most said the food is worth the wait.

"For the people that are devoted, it will be a small sacrifice," said Lee.  "It just might take you a little while longer to find a parking spot."
