The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver, Linda Carmona, 43, of Zephyrhills, suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on I-95 north at State Road 50 near Titusville.

Troopers said Carmona was trying to avoid a vehicle that had stopped to retrieve a ladder in the roadway when her tanker overturned.  She was taken to Holmes Regional Hospital with minor injuries, the FHP said.

It's not known who dropped the ladder in the middle of the interstate, troopers said.

The tanker was carrying tar, a few gallons of which spilled into a drainage ditch, troopers said.

A crane was used to upright the tanker more than three hours after the crash, and northbound lanes were later reopened.

No other details were released, and the crash remains under investigation.
