Orlando home for nation's largest cake show

City playing host to major event for cake makers and enthusiasts

ORLANDO, Fla - Central Florida cake making professionals and enthusiasts alike have reason to get excited this weekend.

The Orange County Convention Center is home to the 2017 iteration of The America's Cake Fair.

Billed as America's "largest most dynamic trade and consumer show for the cake, sugar art, and chocolate industries," The America's Cake Fair is a weekend-long event that features celebrities, demonstrations, business seminars, a fashion show, and more than 75 hands-on classes.

Opportunities wil be available to shop, learn the latest trends and techniques, enter competitions and be in the company of other passionate cake enthusisasts.

Among the famous culinary names making an appearance are "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro, "Cake Maker to the Stars" Mich Turner and Food Network Celebrity Chefs Ron Ben-Israel, Nancy Fuller, and Emily Ellyn. 

Also included in the weekend are the four themed zones throughout the floor, filled with demonstrations and displays. 

The fair runs from Friday, Oct. 13 to Sunday, Oct. 15, beginning at 10 a.m. every day and ending at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. on Sunday. 

Twenty percent of every ticket sold online for the event will be donated to the American Red Cross and The Las Vegas Victims Fund.
