Man, 44, injured in Cocoa shooting, police say

Police: Man taken to hospital with multiple gunshot wounds

COCOA, Fla. – A shooting in Cocoa early Saturday left a 44-year-old man injured, the Cocoa Police Department said.

Police said the shooting took place along Peachtree Street before 4:30 a.m.

The man, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries, officers said. Details on his condition were not immediately known.

Investigators are still working to gather information about the shooting, but said they do not believe it was random.
