WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. - Police arrested a man Monday morning who they say could have spent more than $100,000 using multiple stolen credit cards over a four-month period.

The West Melbourne Police Department caught Ernis Perez Valdez, 42, shortly after they say the suspect was observed at a Sam's Club gas pump at 4255 West New Haven Ave. using multiple credit cards. Valdez is being charged with unauthorized credit use.

Although they have identified two victims, they say there could be many more.

"This is very much an active investigation," said Lt. Richard Cordeau. "Our detectives are in the process of contacting card holders, banks and credit card companies. So far, the card holders we have identified have been unaware their credit cards or debit cards were compromised."
