OVIEDO, Fla. - Seminole County deputies arrested a man after they say he threatened another driver with a gun in a road rage incident.

Michael Stansfield was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm in the Tuesday night incident on State Road 426 and Mitchell Hammock Road in Oviedo.

Deputies said the two victims admitted to changing lanes in their pickup truck and accidentally cutting off a white flatbed work truck at the intersection. Stansfield became enraged and confronted the men at a stoplight, threatening them with a gun, according to SCSO.

Stansfield then drove to a gas station and met up with another driver of a white utility van, deputies said. The victims called 911 as Standfield drove away and followed him to provide authorities with updates on his location.

Stansfield was arrested by deputies near Red Bug Lake Park. Deputies said Standfield ditched the gun in the white van at the gas station without the driver knowing. The driver was a co-worker of Stansfield's.

Stansfield was booked in Seminole County jail on $2,100 bond.
