MARION COUNTY, Fla. - A man is dead after he was ejected from the car he was driving during a crash, according to officials from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred around 10:50 p.m. Friday on County Road 475, just north of County Road 484 in Marion County. The victim, Steven Michael Walsh, was 39.

Walsh's 2004 Toyota Corolla began to veer onto the shoulder of the road as it was being driven north on C.R. 475, troopers said. They said the car then collided with a fence and began to overturn, eventually colliding with a brick driveway along the side of the road. That collision ejected Walsh from the car.

Walsh was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue. Officials said he was not wearing a seat belt.
