ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was found fatally shot in a car Wednesday afternoon, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they were called to Ravenna Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. to investigate an aggravated battery and when they arrived, they found a man in his 20s dead. He was identified Thursday as 27-year-old Javon McMillan.
"It was lightning and thunder so I didn't hear the gunshots," said one surprised neighbor.
"The wonderful young man. I never had any problem out here. I've been out here 27 years and he never showed me anything but respect."
This comes less than 24 hours after 24-year-old Blake Frederick Hayes was found shot inside a crashed car at an Orange County Walmart a little over a mile away. Neighbors told News 6 that Hayes grew up in this same Tangelo Park neighborhood.
The shooting is under investigation and deputies said they are still searching for whoever is responsible.
No further details were immediately available.
