MARION COUNTY, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff's Office said detectives are investigating a shooting Wednesday in Silver Springs Shores.
Deputies received a call around 1:30 p.m. regarding a shooting that happened at a home on Pine Trace.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies found the 40-year-old victim inside the home in need of medical attention.
The victim was taken to a hospital, and doctors said he was in stable condition before he underwent surgery Wednesday afternoon, the Sheriff's Office said.
Detectives were continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses during the ongoing investigation.
