Owner shot several times outside Sanford convenience store dies, police say

Store owner died after shooting at Kim's Food Market

SANFORD, Fla. – A man who was shot multiple times outside a Sanford convenience store Wednesday night has died, police said.

The man has been identified as Joshua Myung Hur, 63, of Sanford, owner of Kim's Food. 

The shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. outside Kim's Food Market at West Third Street and South Poplar Avenue.

A witness called 911 to report the shooting.

No information about the shooter was known.

Police said the Hur was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital and underwent surgery. He later died from his injuries.

The Sanford Police Department said that Hur purchased the business 13-years-ago and has formed a bond with many of the residents in the community.
