Man sought after exposing self to child at Walmart, Orlando police say

Police release video of man inside store

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando police are trying to identify a man they say exposed himself to a child at a Metro-West Walmart.

Police said an 11-year-old girl and her grandmother were shopping at the Super Walmart off South Kirkman Road around 8 p.m. Monday when a man started following the girl around the store. Police said while in the electronics department the man squatted down and exposed his sexual organs to the girl.

"We're having a family meeting tonight about that," said Jose Ramirez. Ramirez, who works in the plaza.

Investigators released surveillance video of the man Wednesday afternoon, asking for people to help them find him. It only shows the man walking around the store and he's described by the victim as being around 50 years old,s wearing dark gym shorts and a black shirt.

Parents who shop at the store frequently said they are alarmed and are keeping an extra eye out.

"I kept him (son) right by my side the entire time, so you have to watch out. There's a lot of odd people out there," said Patty Long, while shopping at the store Wednesday night.

The man is wanted on charges of lewd conduct on a child less than 16 years of age.

Anyone with any information on this man is asked to call the Orlando Police Department at 407-246-2963.
