Masked gunman robs Apopka store

K-9s used in search for assailant

APOPKA, Fla. - A gunman wearing a ski mask robbed an Apopka convenience store early Thursday.

The armed robbery happened around 4:45 a.m. at the Kangaroo Express on Noth Wekiwa Springs Boulevard.

According to authorities, the masked gunman entered the store and stole money from the cash register before running away.

K-9s were used in a search for the assailant, but no arrests were made.

No other details were released.
