Melbourne Beach Town Clerk quits

Rhonda Danielle cites personal, private reasons for resignation

MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. - Rhonda Danielle resigned as town clerk after three-and-a-half years on the job, continuing a wave of personnel shakeups at Town Hall.

Danielle was appointed on an interim basis in January 2010 and was hired on a permanent basis later that year. She submitted her resignation Monday morning, citing personal and private reasons.  Her last day of work is July 12, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

Vice Mayor Lisa Farrall resigned Friday, citing increased job responsibilities. Former mayor Tom Davis quit six weeks ago, citing tensions on the Town Commission.

Candidates can apply for Farrall's vacant commission seat through July 9.

The Melbourne Beach Town Commission will discuss Danielle's departure Wednesday during the second of two special meetings, which start at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center, 509 Ocean Ave.
