Missing child found safe in Georgia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The child who was the subject of an Amber Alert for more than two days was located safe overnight in Georgia.

Onnika Fisher, 6, and her mother, Charity Chatman, 39, were located during a traffic stop in Perry, just south of Macon.

A motorist noticed Chatman's Buick that was publicized as part of the Amber Alert coverage and alerted authorities, according to the Houston County Sheriff's Office.

Chatman was arrested and will be charged with interference with custody. Officials in Houston County did not know when Chatman would be transported back to Jacksonville.

An Amber Alert was issued for Fisher on Friday evening after her mother took her during a DCF-supervised visit in Jacksonville.  Chatman did not have custody of her daughter.
