Troopers identify motorcyclist killed in crash with teen driver

Crash involving car, motorcycle happened at Oak Ridge Road, Luzon Drive

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 47-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a crash Friday evening in Orange County involving a teenage driver, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Officials said a 17-year-old girl driving a Buick car collided with a motorcyclist, later identified as Nestor Class, of Orlando, around 7:05 p.m. at the intersection of Oak Ridge Road and Luzon Drive.

Troopers said the northbound Buick was stopped at a stop sign on Luzon Drive as Class was heading east on Oak Ridge Road.

The girl allegedly tried to turn left turn onto Oak Ridge Road and hit the motorcycle, troopers said. The front of the motorcycle struck the left side of the girl's Buick.

Class was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending against the driver of the Buick, according to the Highway Patrol's report.
