HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – There were no injuries after a crash involving a car that was towing a boat around 7 p.m. Saturday in Hillsborough County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said a Chevy Tahoe towing a trailered 28-foot boat was heading east on I-4 in the outside lane east of Mango Road, passing the Florida Department of Transportation weigh station.

The trailer began to fishtail, which caused the driver to lose control of the Tahoe, which left the travel lane, troopers said. The boat traveled forward and collided with the rear of the Tahoe, at which point the vehicle entered the shoulder and collided with a concrete barrier wall.

Troopers said the impact dislodged the boat, which traveled over the barrier wall and came to a rest in the weigh station entrance ramp.

The crash closed the entrance ramp until 8:39 p.m., troopers said.
