OCALA, Fla. - UFOs flying over Central Florida have now been identified almost certainly as military aircraft.

Residents in Marion County earlier this week reported seeing unidentified flying objects in the skies over Ocala.

The UFOs, described by residents as military-style aircraft, are, in fact, believed to be military aircraft, according to Air Force officials.

The public spokesman of the U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force base in Tampa said Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters have been training over Ocala for the last week.

The aircraft, which were still a mystery at the time, were most recently spotted between 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday.  Eyewitnesses said the aircraft looked like helicopters flying in formation with a large plane.

Officials said the aircraft, which have been flying with no or minimal lighting, are more than likely the UFO sightings.
