Officials suspect arson in Canaveral Groves mobile-home fire

Officials from the state fire marshal's office determined the fire in Brevard County was intentionally set.

CANAVERAL GROVES, Fla. - Investigators in Brevard County are seeking information on an alleged arson on a mobile home that occurred Wednesday evening.

Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to the fire around 9 p.m. on Coral Lane in Canaveral Groves. The fire was subdued within 20 minutes, according for BCFR, and both residents of the mobile home were left unharmed.

The house was destroyed, and an officer from the state fire marshal's office ruled that the fire had been intentionally set.

The home had been condemned and without power for the past month, rescue officials say, and it was valued at about $20,000.
