Couple gets results for teenager who was beat up, had his bike stolen

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando couple got results for a teenager who was beat up and had his bike stolen after buying groceries for his family.

Deputies said the victim, Ridnel Meus, 19, was riding his bike home going west on Alhambra Drive with groceries he had just purchased for his family when a group of assailants attacked him.

The attackers hit the victim in the face, knocking him off his bike and repeatedly kicked him in the face while he was on the ground, deputies said. The trio then took the victim's bike, threw his groceries in the trash and took his Adidas sandals before they fled on foot, according to the incident report.

Michael and Gina Wiggs, of Orlando, bought the teen a new bike. They dropped it off at his doorstep Saturday.

The teen said he's very grateful and wasn't expecting it.

Michael Wiggs said that "our community gives like this."

The bike and accessories cost $150.
