Orlando landmark to be removed

Merita Bread sign headed to Winter Park museum

ORLANDO, Fla. - An iconic Orlando landmark will soon be taken down.

The Merita Bread sign that has stood near Interstate 4 for more than 50 years will be removed on Thursday, a day after it was originally set to come down.

The bakery went out of business two years ago.

The sign will be put on display at the Morse Museum in Winter Park.
