ORLANDO, Fla. - A Facebook site posted a picture showing the Orlando Police officer saved by his helmet during Sunday's nightclub massacre.

The Orlando Police Department originally shared a photo of Officer Michael Napolitano's helmet with a bullet lodged in the front, stopping it from injuring or killing the officer.

Napolitano's armor was literally a lifesaver among the grim scene found inside the Pulse nightclub, where 49 people were killed by gunman Omar Mateen.

Monday morning, the Facebook site Sheriff Deputies posted a picture with an officer surrounded by two other people.

Severe bruising can be seen on the officer's head.

The Orlando Police have yet to release any other information about the officer or his current health.
