Orlando police ID man killed, teen wounded in double shooting

No arrests made in Hendren Drive shooting

ORLANDO, Fla. - A 23-year-old man was killed and a 16-year-old boy was wounded early Wednesday in a double shooting in Orlando, police said.

According to police, Alexander Jason St. Jean died in the shooting, which was reported at 1:25 a.m. in the 1300 block of Hendren Drive. The teen was transferred to Arnold Palmer Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Orlando police said officers were called to a shooting and found the front and rear doors of the residence open and no victims or assailants at the home.  

Shell casings and other evidence were found on the property and down the street, police said.

Police said the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds were dropped off at Florida Hospital East, where St. Jean was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made in the case.

St. Jean's family said he leaves behind a one-year-old son. His mentor, Michael Scott, said St. Jean was working on turning his life around.
