ORLANDO, Fla. - A man was arrested and sprayed with a chemical agent after he tried to walk out on his bill at High Tide Harry's on Wednesday, while pulling a knife on the manager who tried to confront him.

Police said that Thomas Knight, 41, tried to leave the High Tide Harry's on Semoran Boulevard Wednesday afternoon without paying his bill, when the manager confronted him. Knight then pulled out a 4-inch folding knife from his pocket, but the manager was able to detain him until authorities arrived.

Knight repeatedly squeezed an officer's hand while he was being handcuffed, prompting police to deploy a chemical agent before arresting him, police said.

Knight faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery on a law enforcement officer, theft from a dining establishment and resisting a merchant.
