Osceola deputies search for missing Kissimmee man

Family says missing person mentally disabled, needs medication

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Deputies in Osceola County are asking for the public's help in finding a missing, mentally disabled man who was last seen early Sunday morning in Kissimmee.

Adam Ross Smith, 22, was described as a white male, about 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. Deputies say he was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white writing and blue basketball shorts with a white stripe on the side.

Smith was last seen around midnight after having a fight with his sister. His mother discovered he was missing at about 4:30 a.m.

Family members told deputies Smith has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old.

Smith also needs to take several medications, but he left them at his home on Old Tampa Highway when he left.
