Officials said two masked gunmen entered the office at 2918 Pine Hills Road around 5:30 p.m. and demanded money from Khanna, who owns the business.

Two patients and a child witnessed the robbery and shooting, deputies said.

A witness told police the doctor was checking her out at the front desk when two men wearing ski masks, black shirts and pants came into the office.

The gunmen shouted "give me the money" or "you are going to die today," according to the report.

The doctor took $1,200 in cash out of his wallet and handed it over, witnesses told police.

The suspects ransacked the office looking for more money, then shot the doctor in the leg and left the building, according to the police report.

The witnesses heard tires screeching as the robbers took off, but a detailed description of the car was not available, deputies said.

When police arrived Khanna was on the ground applying pressure to his gunshot wound, the report said.

Khanna was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment.

No arrests have been made.
