ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - Altamonte Springs police arrested a man they say went to a Best Buy and tried to steal two iPads, worth a total of $1459.98, by shoving them down his pants.

Verry Zagueta has been charged with retail theft/shoplifting and use of an anti-shoplifting control device in the Tuesday incident, according to the report.

Police said Zagueta went to the Best Buy on State Road 436, used a security device removal key to take off the secured cases of two iPads and hid the iPads in his pants.

Zagueta then hid the two empty security cases on the shelf and walked out of the store, but was spotted by Best Buy Loss Prevention officers, who reported it to police, according to the report.

Police said Zagueta was arrested in the Best Buy parking lot and taken to Seminole County jail.
