TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Titusville police are calling Quinton Woodruff, the boyfriend of Brandee Kelley, a person of interest in Kelley's death.
Kelley (pictured below) was shot and killed at the Emerald Place Apartments Tuesday just after 11 p.m.
A friend of Kelley's, Nicole Paine, told Local 6 News her friend had come over to get away from Woodruff, and that she had been abused throughout their relationship.
"Each incident got worse and worse and worse," says Paine. "She was sporting a black eye when she came here."
Witnesses told Local 6 Wednesday night that a man walked up to a sliding-glass door, yelled at her and shot her.
Investigators served a search warrant at the home of Woodruff's father, where his son has a room.
