Police search for bank robbery suspect in Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Police were searching for a man who robbed a Regions Bank in the 900 block of Cheney Highway in Titusville about 12:30 p.m.

Investigators released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who police identified as 41-year-old Galen Lee Matthews of Titusville.

The robber walked into the bank and passed a note to a teller, police said. He had written on the note that he was demanding cash and that he was armed.

The robber fled on foot west on Cheney, Titusville police said.

Matthews is 5-feet, 8-inches tall, has strawberry-blond hair and wore jeans and a teal T-shirt at the time of the robbery.
