Police Tase suspect in Long John Silver's robbery

James Tindell faces multiple charges in Apopka crime

APOPKA, Fla. - Apopka police arrested a suspect accused of robbing employees at a Long John Silver's at gunpoint.

Police said James Tindell went into the Long John Silver's at 1960 Semoran Blvd. around 8:30 Sunday, implied he had a gun and demanded cash.

Tindell fled the store in a green Isuzu Rodeo.

APD officers found the Isuzu at Wekiwa Springs Road and State Road 436 and pursued the vehicle north on Wekiwa Springs Road, west on Votaw Road, and then south on Park Avenue.

When the vehicle came to a stop, Tindell ran and officers used a stun gun to subdue him, police said.

He was taken into custody and transported to Florida Hospital Apopka for evaluation.

Police said Tindell has a history of drug use, fleeing, and robbery. Tindell faces charge of robbery, felony fleeing, and resisting.
