OCALA, Fla. - Ocala police have arrested a teen who they say was trying to break into a car in the Ocala Police Department parking lot.

Keyobee J. Smith, 18, who was previously arrested for making several 911 false calls earlier in the week, was spotted walking around an employee's van in the parking lot at the district office on West State Road 40 Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The officer then saw Smith get into the minivan, according to the report. Smith then saw the officer and ran into a wooded area. When officers found Smith, he had the employee's checkbook from the minivan, according to police.

Smith has been charged with burglary and petit theft.
