EPA rolls back Obama-era plan limiting coal-fired power plants

Action requires cut in 2030 carbon emissions


(CNN) - The Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday rolled back an Obama-era climate rule that targets coal plants.

The agency's new carbon reduction target requires the U.S. power sector to cut its 2030 carbon emissions 35 percent over 2005 levels, according to media outlets.
