Deputies said they were called to the Walmart on East Colonial Drive just after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday and according to witnesses, this was the third time within the night. The first purse-snatching was reported at Walmart at around 6 p.m. on Monday when he distracted a woman by asking her a question before reaching into her vehicle and stealing her purse.

In the second incident, the man followed a woman through the store, then as she left to go to her vehicle, he grabbed the victim's purse off her arm and ran, deputies said.

Less than an hour before the Walmart purse-snatching, deputies said the man attempted to steal another woman's purse at the Regal Cinemas Waterford Lakes when he sprayed her in the face with pepper-spray. He was not able to take any property from her, deputies say.

Deputies believe he left in the same vehicle in the three reports. The vehicle is described as a green or black older model SUV such as a Tahoe or Suburban with aftermarket chrome rims and dark tint, according to OCSO.
