Rare zebra born at Animal Kingdom Lodge

Guests can see Hartmann's Mountain Zebra roaming resort savanna

ORLANDO, Fla. - A rare breed of zebra has been born at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge earlier this month, according to officials.

Guests are able to see the rare Hartmann's Mountain Zebra with her mom roaming the resort's savanna.

The population of this rare species of zebra is teetering at just under 50 animals in the U.S. and the Hartmann's mountain zebra is listed as vulnerable on the IUCN red list of threatened species according to the Disney Park blogs.

It's not clear what the filly's name is.
