Record-breaking rain reported in Brevard County

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Heavy rain is still falling across southern Brevard County on Wednesday evening.

Melbourne set the record for rain on this date before 3 p.m. At that time more than 1.33" had fallen and more is still coming down.

Wednesday night we will still be tracking a few showers across central Florida and heavier showers in Brevard.

Look for the overnight low tonight to be 66 degrees.

Thursday we will still have the clouds and a few showers. Rain chances will drop to 20% and the high will make it back to 82 in Orlando

Friday the warm days continue with a high of 83 and a slight chance of rain.

Saturday the high will be 82 with a rain chance of 10 percent.

Then Sunday a cold front arrives and drops our daytime high to 72.

Monday looks like the best day in the forecast period with a high of 73 and a sparkling sun filled sky.
