Rockledge man arrested for attempted murder of wife

Police say wife was found on bedroom floor unresponsive

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. - A Brevard County man was arrested Friday after his wife was found on the bedroom floor unresponsive. 

David Glen Brevick, 52, from Rockledge, is charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office said he called 911 around 11:30 p.m. Friday, claiming two men had entered his house and were hurting his wife.

When deputies arrived at 7030 Heron's Landing Drive, Brevick opened the door for deputies and said the men were still inside.

After searching the residence, deputies were unable to locate any intruders. However, they did find Brevick's wife, 56 year-old Francia Vargas-Brevick, with serious injuries.

Vargas-Brevick was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical condition.
