Seabreeze High School students injured in head-on collision

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Ormond Beach police are investigating a head-on collision Wednesday morning in which three Seabreeze High School students were hurt, one seriously injured.

Police said the crash occurred Wednesday just after 7 a.m. when a mother of one of the boys was driving on Oceanshore Boulevard to take her son and two other boys to school. Police said another driver was traveling on northbound Oceanshore Boulevard when he was forced to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting the back of a vehicle and skidded into the southbound lanes, striking the woman's vehicle.

There were multiple injuries in the crash and several people were taken to Halifax Hospital, including all three of the students, one of which was transported as a trauma alert with a head injury.
