WINTER PARK, Fla. - Florida Highway Patrol is serving a search warrant on Wednesday at the house where the man accused in the fatal Winter Park day care crash left the vehicle involved in the crash.

Robert Corchado, 28, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with death in the April 9 crash at the KinderCare Learning Center on Goldenrod Road.

Corchado left his Dodge Durango at a home on Orange Avenue near Aloma Avenue in the Winter Park area. FHP said it is at the home gathering more evidence at the request of the State Attorney's Office and no further arrests have been made.

Local 6 news helicopter Sky 6 flew over the scene as troopers and drug agents searched the home.

FHP said drug agents were at the home for tactical support.

Authorities said Corchado struck the back of a Toyota Solara, pushing that car into the day care center and killing 4-year-old Lily Quintus. He then left the scene of the crash, left the SUV at the Winter Park home and was believed to have rented a car.

Corchado turned himself in after the crash prompted a statewide manhunt. He was booked into the Orange County jail on $100,000 bond.

More than a dozen others were injured in the crash.
