Skip Valet

.storyAd{display:none;} Skip Valet was named Vice President/General Manager of WKMG-TV in April 2009.

Valet began his Post-Newsweek stations career in 1982, and he has been the news director at three Post-Newsweek Stations: KPRC-TV in Houston; WJXT-TV in Jacksonville; and WKMG-TV in Orlando.

Valet was part of the team awarded a Peabody Award for a documentary about domestic violence, and he was recognized with an Emmy for coverage of an Amtrak train derailment. Valet's newsrooms were recognized by the Radio and Television News Directors Association's National Edward R. Murrow Awards three times, once for "Continuing Coverage" and two consecutive years for "Overall Excellence."

Valet graduated from the University of North Florida.

Valet is married and has two children.
