Son of man who owed narcotics-related debt kidnapped, deputies say

Suspects detained, taken in for further investigation

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are investigating an alleged extortion and kidnapping Tuesday in Orlando.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said it was called to 1104 Windmill Grove Circle at 10:48 a.m. after a man reported that his son, identified only as being in his early 20s, had been kidnapped because of a narcotics-related debt the father owed.

Deputies said they located the suspect vehicle as it was dropping the victim off at his residence after about five hours, and followed it until it made a stop at Lake Baldwin Lane and East Colonial Drive.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the suspects, who were not named, were detained and taken to Central Operations so detectives could continue the investigation.

No other details were immediately released.
