Suspect planned teen's murder for days, Orange County deputies say

Sanel Saint Simon charged with 1st degree murder in death of Alexandria Chery

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies say new documents released in the death of 16-year-old Alexandria Chery show that her suspected killer planned her death for days.

Alexandria's mother's boyfriend, Saint Simon, 43, is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and giving false information to law enforcement concerning a missing person investigation.

Alexandria was reported missing by her mother. Deputies identified her body on Aug. 6, almost a week after her remains were found near the Osceola-Polk County line.

According to a 48-page investigative report, Saint Simon had some sort of story for every question he was asked about Alexandria, but deputies say his stories were lies.

Deputies say Saint Simon made arrangements to borrow his uncle's car days earlier. The forensics team later found the teen's blood on the front seat of the Pontiac Grand Prix.

In statements from Saint Simon, he claimed he never left his job at Boston Market the morning that Alexandria was last seen, but according to his manager, he did leave work around 9:30 a.m.

The medical examiner found that Alexandria was beaten to death sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Blood was found in the teen's bedroom and bleached soaked underwear was found under her bed, which Saint Simon said family members planted there.

Deputies also released a diagram of the secluded area where Alexandria's body was found. Witnesses said they saw a black Pontiac Grand Prix in the area.

The report release comes days after Saint Simon asked a judge for a new attorney in his case.

Saint Simon is awaiting trial in the Orange County Jail.
