WINTER PARK, Fla. – A witness helped police nab a suspected bank robber Thursday in Winter Park, authorities said.
Winter Park police said the robbery was reported at the Bank of America on South Park Avenue near Central Park.

A man entered the bank, passed a note to a teller and implied he had a weapon, police said.
The man fled the bank and got into a crash before running from that scene, police said.
A witness saw the man running toward Commerce Bank on U.S. Highway 17-92 at Harmon Avenue and led authorities to him, police said.
The man was arrested and taken into custody.
"Excellent response from citizens being aware and reporting suspicious activity," Winter Park police tweeted.
A weapon has not been found.
No injuries were reported.
Southbound lanes of U.S. 17-92 were closed between Indiana and Harmon but later reopened.
No other details have been released.
